5 Year Anniversary Studio D Hair Salon

They say that it’s hard for any business to hit the 5 year mark. When I opened up the salon, I didn’t know how to hire staff yet. I worked 6 days a week, 9 hours a day to grow the salon the 1st year on my own. Eventually, some of my clients were inspired to learn how to cut hair. I gave plenty of advice to some of my clients who then became my apprentices. This salon was the very first of its kind to open the doors to young teenagers who were eager to learn barbering and hair styling.

This was quite the party and it got real messy to the point of blacking out. I feel truly blessed to hit the 5 year mark which made me realize I was doing something right. Building the vancouver hair community to the youth, learning at Studio D.
